Terms of Service
Last updated 3 October 2026
These terms explain how Lifeful works and what we expect from each other. By creating an account or using a Lifeful event, you agree to them.
1. About Lifeful
Lifeful is a shared disposable camera for events. A host creates an event, guests join by scanning a QR code or opening a link, and everyone takes photos with a limited number of shots. The photos stay hidden until the host reveals them. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Lifeful.
2. Accounts
- Hosts need an account. You must be at least 18 and give us accurate details.
- Guests do not need an account. They join an event with a name and take photos from their own device.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. How events work
Photos can only be taken live with the Lifeful camera. Each event has a guest limit and a number of shots per guest, set by the host and the plan the host chose. Photos are given the event's film look when they are taken. The host decides when the film is revealed and who can see the photos afterwards (only the host, the guests of the event, or anyone with the link).
4. Plans and payments
- Lifeful is paid per event. There is no subscription. A free plan is available for small events.
- Prices are shown in US dollars. Upgrading an event is charged as the difference from its current plan.
- Payments are handled by our payment partner Creem, which acts as the merchant of record. It processes your payment, collects any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issues your receipt. We never see or store your card details.
- A purchase applies to the event it was bought for. Prices can change for future purchases, but not for something you have already bought.
- Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
See the Refund Policy for details.
5. Your photos and your guests
- You and your guests own the photos you take. We do not claim ownership.
- You give us permission to store, process, display and deliver those photos so that the service can work. This includes applying the film look and showing photos to the people you choose.
- Hosts are responsible for telling their guests that photos will be shared, and for making sure the people taking part, including children, are comfortable with that and have the right to take part.
- Hosts can hide photos from the gallery. Guests who want a photo removed should ask the host or contact us.
6. What you must not do
- Upload or take anything illegal, including sexual content involving minors, or anything that harasses, threatens or exploits others.
- Take photos of people in private places where they would reasonably expect not to be photographed.
- Try to get around limits such as the guest limit, the shot limit or the reveal time.
- Copy, scrape or reverse engineer Lifeful, including the film styles, or use it to build a competing service.
- Attack, overload or interfere with the service or other people's events.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. How long we keep photos
Photos stay available for a period after the event: at least 30 days for free events and at least 12 months for paid events, measured from the event date. We will email the host before photos are removed. Once photos are removed, we cannot bring them back, so hosts should keep their own copies of anything important. Hosts can ask us for more time by emailing hello@lifeful.app.
8. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Lifeful running, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or improve the service, and we will give notice of changes that significantly affect something you have paid for.
9. Ending your use of Lifeful
You can delete an event at any time from your dashboard, which permanently removes its photos. You can also ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
10. Our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost opportunities or moments that were not photographed. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that cannot be limited, including consumer rights where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use Lifeful after a change means you accept it.
